Is Wage Transparency Closing the Pay Gap — or Just Creating New Resentments Without Fixing the Underlying Problem?Wage transparency can expose pay gaps, but publishing salary numbers doesn't automatically eliminate the reasons those gaps exist. Salary ranges can give employees more bargaining power and make unexplained disparities harder to hide, but transparency without clear criteria for compensation can also create resentment.
